Moreira to ride Linton in Hong Kong Mile

Wednesday 13 November 2013, 1:00pm

Star jockey Joao Moreira will ride Linton in next month's Group One Hong Kong International Mile.

Linton, trained by Malua Racing's John Sadler, was not an acceptor for Saturday's Group Three Kevin Heffernan Stakes at Caulfield and will instead have his next start in the Hong Kong International Mile on December 8.

Malua Racing announced on Twitter that Moreira would ride the Stradbroke Handicap winner.

Moreira has recently moved to Hong Kong fulltime after a hugely successful period in Singapore.

Linton was scratched from last Saturday's Group One Emirates Stakes due to an elevated temperature and had been nominated to line up at Caulfield on Saturday.
