Apprentice jockey John Kissick, on loan to premier Sydney trainer Chris Waller, has broken his wrist in a race fall at Gosford.
Kissick fell from Gaze On Gold and was assessed by ambulance officers before he was taken to hospital on Thursday.
"John was assessed on course and it appears he has broken his left wrist and is also complaining of pain in his left arm," Racing NSW safety officer Maurice Logue said.
Kissick had a full book of rides for Saturday's meeting at Rosehill.
Canberra three-year-old Got The Goss promised to be one of his best mounts after he won on the sprinter at Warwick Farm.
Got The Goss will be given his chance in better company after winning five of his six starts.
Randwick apprentice Sam Clipperton has been engaged to ride Got The Goss, the $6.50 second favourite behind Specific Choice ($3.20).
Specific Choice will also figure in a riding change with Christian Reith replacing Jimmy Cassidy, the veteran jockey who aggravated a rib injury at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.
