Stradbroke Handicap winner Linton has run his last race in Australia as he prepares for his assault on next month's Hong Kong Mile.
Trainer John Sadler says he has seen the last of the horse he inherited from the Lloyd Williams's Macedon Lodge stable about two years ago.
Sadler, who guided the seven-year-old gelding to win the Group One Stradbroke at Eagle Farm in June, said Linton would continue his career under the care of Malua Racing's Troy Corstens and Carolyn Mason during an overseas campaign planned to take in next year's Dubai racing carnival.
Corstens confirmed Linton will then head to the UK where he will run for a different stable.
Sadler will be sad to see Linton leave because he believes the horse has a lot of racing left in him.
In his first run for Sadler in May last year, Linton did the right thing by winning the Group Three R A Lee Stakes at Morphettville, a feat he repeated this year.
"It is disappointing to see him go," Sadler said.
"I think there is still some good racing left in the horse.
"He certainly wasn't overtaxed when he was at Macedon Lodge or when he was with us."
Linton is now in quarantine and will soon be joined by other horses flying in from around the world.
Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Damien Oliver has been booked to ride Galileo gelding in the December 8 Hong Kong feature.
