Speed machine Adebisi will miss Saturday's Gold Coast meeting and head to Sydney's Canterbury Classic, if trainer Desleigh Forster has her way.

Adebisi, generally regarded as the fastest horse in Brisbane, was set to resume from a spell in the Bat Out Of Hell (900m) on the Gold Coast on Saturday.

However, a combination of his weight (59.5kg), his barrier (nine in a field of 14) and predicted heatwave has Forster keen to miss the race.

Adebisi is being set for the $100,000 Canterbury Classic (1100m) under lights on January 24.

Forster said a final decision on Adebisi starting in the Bat Out Of Hell would be made late on Thursday.

"At this stage he will miss the Bat Out Of Hell. He has plenty of weight, there are some real speed horses drawn inside him and they are predicting 38 degrees heat," Forster said.

Forster's Wednesday winner Not So Sober is likely to back up in the GCTC Ladies Day Three-Year-Old Handicap (1800m).

Not So Sober, who was involved in an incident in the swabbing stall when he kicked an attendant on Wednesday, has a 1.5kg penalty.

"It was a good win and he has pulled up well. At this stage he will run," she said.

Forster's staying mare Poste Resante will have a break after running a handy fourth in the Tattersalls Cup at Randwick on Wednesday.

"I was pleased with the run and she made up about 15 lengths in the straight," she said.

Forster will remain in Sydney to saddle up Carmora in the Rosehill Gardens Hcp at Rosehill on Saturday.

Carmora is rated one of the most promising horses in Brisbane and Forster said she would be disappointed if the galloper did not run well.
