Apprentice jockey Jake Duffy will have an enforced holiday after copping his second suspension in two days.
Duffy received a 10-meeting suspension at Wangaratta on Friday for improper use of the whip.
He was handed another 10-meeting ban for careless riding in the Equiano Speed Handicap at Caulfield on Saturday.
Duffy said he had problems controlling his mount Final Jest which he described as "pig-headed".
He said the horse was reluctant to come back under him as Glen Boss, on Meritorius, attempted to cross.
His Caulfield suspension starts at midnight on January 14 and he will be able to resume riding on January 23.
