Melbourne Cup placegetter Mount Athos has been switched from trainer Luca Cumani to Marco Botti who will prepare him for the upcoming Dubai carnival.
Mount Athos was originally trained by David Wachman in Ireland and joined Cumani in 2012.
He finished an unlucky fifth in the 2012 Melbourne Cup and third last year.
His last race for Cumani was his ninth in the Hong Kong Vase in December.
Owner Marwan Koukash used Twitter to make the announcement.
"(I would) like to thank Luca Cumani for looking after Mount Athos for the last two years. Mount Athos will join the Marco Botti yard so he could run in Dubai," Koukash said.
Italian ex-pat Botti has established himself as a leading trainer in Britain over the past seven years having spent time honing his craft with leading trainers at Newmarket including Cumani and Ed Dunlop, trainer of dual Melbourne Cup runner-up Red Cadeaux.
Botti brought Jakkalberry to Australia to run third in the 2012 Melbourne Cup and returned last year with Dandino, runner-up in the Caulfield Cup.
