Nordic Empire out of Magic Millions

Nordic Empire has been officially scratched from the $2 million Magic Millions Classic giving the well-supported first emergency Sagatona a start.

The Mick Price-trained Nordic Empire, who was the third favourite for Saturday's two-year-old race the Gold Coast, was found to be sore on Wednesday.

Scans showed the colt had muscle tears and he will be sent for a spell.

The Liam Birchley-trained Sagatona is on the fourth line of betting at $12 as is the Price-trained Geromayo.

Unencumbered remains the favourite ahead of Invisible and Oakleigh Girl.
