Moorookyle Park Thoroughbreds are delighted to announce the acquisition of the Unusual Suspect (USA) (Unusual Heat (USA) - Penpont (NZ)). He will be added to our stallion roster and stand alongside the proven evergreen sire Ustinov.

A winner at two and multiple stakes placegetter as a juvenile, he went on at three to win the Group 3 Hollywood Turf Express over 1200m.

His biggest victory came in the Hollywood Turf Club 1400 at Group 1 level.

Unusual Suspect won seven stakes races from 1200-2600m and raced in four different countries over six years earning over $1.5 million in prize money.

There is a strong genetic base for this stallion and his full sister is also a Group 1 winner and his sire Unusual Heat (by Nureyeev) has sired 35 stakes winners with an exceptional world class 'winners to runner' ratio of 72%.

Australian racing legend Darren Gauci also joins the team as an ambassador and consultant in a unique alliance with the progressive Shergar Thoroughbreds Pty Ltd. Shergar Thoroughbreds will be responsible for the marketing management of the stallions.
