Trainer Brent Stanley is weighing up options in two states for Saturday's impressive Sandown two-year-old winner Veuvelicious.
The filly scored a dominant five-length win over 1500m at her third start, prompting her trainer to consider next month's Group One Champagne Stakes (1600m) in Sydney as a target for the daughter of Northern Meteor.
Stanley said Veuvelicious's next start would be in either Sydney or Adelaide to chase a black type win.
"It's up in the air at the moment. She'll either go to Sydney on (Golden) Slipper day to run in the Baillieu, or she'll go to Adelaide the week after for a stakes race there," Stanley told Melbourne radio station RSN on Monday.
"I'll weigh the options up through the nominations."
The $150,000 Group Three T L Baillieu on Saturday week is over 1400m and is three weeks before the Champagne Stakes.
The Adelaide option is the Group Three SA Sires' Produce Stakes (1400m).
Veuvelicious gave Stanley, a Caulfield Cup-winner as an apprentice rider on Arctic Scent in 1996, his first Saturday metropolitan winner as a trainer.
He has labelled the filly a serious horse and an Oaks prospect for next season.
