Trainer Jamie McConachy is confident he can maintain his winning strike rate when Central Queensland star Vandalised makes his Brisbane debut at Eagle Farm.

Vandalised ran an unlucky fourth at his first start for McConachy last year but has since won five straight in Rockhampton.

In-form jockey Brad Stewart, who has a record of five rides for five wins on Vandalised, will ride him in the AON Human Resources Class 6 Plate at Eagle Farm.

Vandalised resumed with an impressive win in a handicap over 1300m at Rockampton last month and McConachy believes Saturday's 1400 metres will be perfect.

McConachy, who mixes training with working in the Blackwater mines, has had 22 runners this season for 11 winners and three minor placings.

"I only have four horses at the moment because I am a shift worker at the mines. But things have been going very well of late," McConachy said.

McConachy scratched Vandalised from Rockhampton on Thursday to give him his chance at a metropolitan win.

"He deserves a go in town and he has drawn a good alley (5)," he said.

"It will give us a good idea of exactly where we are going with him."

Vandalised was originally trained by John Sadler and then Robert Smerdon in Victoria before being bought by clients of McConachy.

"I think they paid about $25,000 for him," McConachy said.

"Vandalised is raced by the same owners who have the handy Motorised which also came from Victoria."

It will be no easy task for Vandalised on Saturday as he faces an above average field.

Trainer Kelly Schweida has elected to run Kentucky Woman, who was scratched on Wednesday, and under the Plate scale she gets into the race with only 52.5kg.

"I think she should have won her last start at Doomben and Chris Munce will ride her," Schweida said.
