Jockey Damian Lane received a 24-meeting suspension for his part in an incident that led to Vlad Duric falling at Caulfield.
Lane will miss the ride on Platelet in next Saturday's Group One Sportingbet Classic at Morphettville and the Group One Goodwood on May 10.
Duric was lucky to escape with bruising to his leg after falling from Golfing at the 300m of the Bert Bryant Handicap.
Golfing blundered after he clipped the heels of Excellent Flight at the end of a chain reaction Lane started when he shifted out aboard Hard Stride.
Lane pleaded guilty to careless riding but argued Excellent Flight and Golfing contributed to the incident by shifting in.
Lane's suspension was his fifth of the season, which chief steward Terry Bailey said ruled out a discount for a good riding record.
Lane will ride at Caulfield on Monday before starting his penalty.
The jockey will return to riding on May 17.
