When Joe Pride took over the training of Steps In Time his mission was to get a Group One win for the mare in her final racing campaign.

Pride fulfilled the brief in the Coolmore Classic and is now aiming to further enhance her pedigree page with another Group One win in Saturday's All Aged Stakes at Randwick.

With John O'Shea appointed as Darley's head trainer from next month, Steps In Time was transferred to Pride with the view it might take her until the Brisbane winter carnival to snare a win at the highest level.

A tactical training performance from Pride, who sent her to the Coolmore off a five-week break, and a vintage front-running Jim Cassidy ride helped Steps In Time win over 1500 metres for the first time.

"The 1400 metres in the All Aged is definitely her best distance," Pride said.

"It might well be her last race.

"She didn't handle the very heavy track in the TJ Smith but she has recovered well.

"Tiger Tees has also come through the TJ Smith in good order and we'll decide later in week whether he runs in Sydney or Brisbane."

The winner of the Galaxy (1100m) Tiger Tees ran fourth in the TJ Smith behind fellow Group One winners Lankan Rupee, Rebel Dane and Buffering.

He is also entered for Saturday's Group Two Victory Stakes (1200m) at Eagle Farm.

Snitzerland, who ran the worst race of her career in the TJ Smith, is also entered for both weight-for-age races but with a favourable forecast in Sydney, she is likely to run at Randwick.

Trainer Gerald Ryan believes it is the right time to test the mare over 1400 metres.

Visiting Japanese mare Hana's Goal, who ran a creditable sixth in the Doncaster Mile, will run in the All Aged with Nash Rawiller to ride.

There were 16 entries for the All Aged with 13 the maximum field size.

Pride's other stakes runners at the Randwick meeting will be See The World and That's a Good Idea in the Group Three Hall Mark Stakes (1200m) and veteran stayer Maluckyday in the Group Three JRA Plate (2000m).

The seven-year-old ran second to Americain in the 2010 Melbourne Cup but injuries interrupted his subsequent campaigns and he was transferred from the Hawkes team to Pride last year.

"He is happy and is going well and he may well head to the Brisbane carnival," Pride said.
