Caulfield Cup-winning jockey Nick Hall will wait another week before returning to race riding after an injury layoff.
Hall scored his best win aboard Fawkner in last October's Caulfield Cup but took time off soon after to have hip surgery.
Doctors cleared Hall to resume riding at Flemington on Anzac Day but the jockey pulled up sore after riding trackwork earlier in the week.
"He's a bit sore so he's adopting the cautious approach and waiting another week to let it settle down," Hall's manager Reece Murphy said.
Murphy said Hall was almost certain to ride at Caulfield on Saturday week.
Meanwhile, triple Melbourne Cup-winning ride Glen Boss will ride at the Gold Coast on Saturday week.
Boss has been booked to ride Mr O'Cierin in the Group Two AD Hollindale Stakes (1800m) while he has also secured the mount on the Anthony Cummings-trained Paris Match in the Listed Gold Coast Bracelet.
