Jockey Glyn Schofield will be sidelined indefinitely after suffering facial fractures in a fall on Monday.
Schofield was hurt when a horse he was taking to the barrier for a trial at Warwick Farm bucked.
The high-profile rider does not require surgery but expects to be out of action for a few weeks.
His sense of humour remains intact with Schofield posting a picture on Twitter of his swollen face.
