A funeral service for Guy Walter is being planned for Warwick Farm on Friday.
Racing NSW and the Australian Turf Club are working with Walter's family to commemorate the life of the popular trainer who died suddenly on Thursday morning.
Although plans are not yet finalised, it is hoped the service can be held in the mounting yard at Walter's home track in front of the grandstand.
Four horses raced in Walter's name at Randwick on Saturday but Pirolo's third at the Newcastle provincial meeting was the stable's best result.
From Monday, the stable's horses will be transferred to his wife Wendy who has maintained the trackwork schedule over the past two days.
Jockeys at major meetings around the country wore black armbands on Saturday to recognise Walter's contribution to racing.
Just a week ago, Walter celebrated his 36th Group One win when Streama won the Doomben Cup to add to her three other elite victories.
His best horse was Tie The Knot, the winner of 13 Group One races, equal with Sunline and only bettered by Kingston Town and Black Caviar.
Injured jockey Peter Robl is among those helping out at the stable and says everyone at the close-knit Warwick Farm centre is doing what they can to keep things ticking over.
After beginning his career on the NSW south coast, Walter moved to Warwick Farm more than two decades ago and Tie The Knot won the track's signature race, the Chipping Norton Stakes, a record four times from 1999 to 2002.
