Apprentice Tegan Harrison's golden winter came to an abrupt halt on Wednesday when she was suspended for careless riding at Doomben.
Harrison, on Bandit Queen, pleaded guilty to causing interference to Bobby El-Issa on Ima Zulu at the 600 metre mark in the final race.
She was suspended for eight meetings with the penalty to start after June 25 and finish on July 6, ruling her out of the Sunshine Coast Guineas meeting on June 28 and Queensland Cup day at Eagle Farm on July 5.
Stewards took into account Harrison's good recent record when imposing the sentence.
Harrison has had a great winter carnival winning the Victory Stakes on Temple Of Boom and Saturday's Ipswich Cup aboard Brave Ali as well as managing Group One placings in the Stradbroke Handicap and Doomben 10,000.
