The next ferry to Tasmania awaited bold front-runner The Cleaner after his dominant Moonee Valley win on Saturday.
Burles left The Cleaner in Melbourne after he won at Flemington almost a year to the day before his latest success but the gelding failed to settle at Robert Smerdon's stable.
"He'll be back on the boat tonight, no mucking around," Burles said.
The Cleaner completed a successful Melbourne raid when he justified his $3.20 favouritism with a dominant win in the Travis Harrison Cup (1600m).
The Cleaner began moderately but jockey Anthony Darmanin stuck to the plan, sending the six-year-old forward to press for the lead in the first 400m.
The gelding travelled well throughout before booking his place in next month's Listed Winter Championship Final (1600m) at Flemington with a decisive three-length win.
The Cleaner has not competed in races higher than Group Three standard but Burles said he has two Group One miles in mind for his stable star in the spring.
"There's a few of those early weight-for-age races like the Makybe Diva (Stakes) and those sorts of races, I'd like to have a go at them," Burles said.
"I'd like to get a Group race next to his name because I think a horse like him deserves one.
"Long-range, I'd like to have a go at the Emirates Stakes with him."
Burles said The Cleaner was able to sustain his free-running style better at 1600m than 2000m but the 15-time winner was also effective at the longer trip.
