Bull Point has arrived at Chris Waller's stable as a Group One placegetter with the trainer's mission to get him a win at the highest level this spring.
The colt's stable switch from Gai Waterhouse came about with a change in his ownership and he will now race in the navy blue of Coolmore.
He won three races for Waterhouse including the Group Three Manfred Stakes last spring and finished third in the Golden Rose won by the Waller-trained Zoustar.
"The aim is to get a Group One handicap win with him," Waller said.
"The Epsom Handicap over 1600 metres and the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes in Melbourne over 1400 are races we will look at."
Zoustar will begin a new career at Widden Stud in the spring and Waller has also farewelled Group One winning mare Red Tracer.
But he still has plenty of ammunition for the spring features including dual Doncaster Mile winner Sacred Falls.
"He has been back in the stable about ten days," Waller said.
"Even though he has won two Doncasters, he is only now really maturing.
"He is a very serious horse."
Royal Descent, winner of the 2013 Australian Oaks and runner-up to Sacred Falls in this year's Doncaster, is also being aimed at the highest level.
"We will have a crack at the Cox Plate with Royal Descent," Waller said.
"She came close in the Doncaster. She won the Oaks on a very wet track but that was against her own age.
"I don't think she is just a wet tracker.
"Boban is also back and he is looking good. I think it is the best he has ever spelled.
"In the spring he didn't spell well but this time he is different."
Boban was unbeaten in five starts last spring, progressing from a benchmark race to Group One wins in the Epsom Handicap and Emirates Stakes.
He had a mixed autumn with his five starts realising just one win, but it was one which counted in the Group One Chipping Norton Stakes.
