Blake Shinn has lost an appeal against a careless riding suspension but has had his penalty reduced.
Shinn will fulfil his commitments at Randwick on Saturday and start his suspension two days later.
He was suspended for 10 meetings during a Canterbury midweek meeting last month and has been riding on a stay of proceedings which allowed him to fulfil commitments for the Walter stable at Rosehill last Saturday.
Wendy Walter had been operating the stable since the sudden death of her husband Guy in May and had her final runners at Rosehill including I've Got the Looks, a winner for Shinn.
Shinn, who can return on July 27, fronted the Racing NSW Appeal Panel on Friday.
He accepted the panel's decision, saying on Twitter he received a fair hearing.
"My poor race riding record is my biggest downfall," Shinn posted.
Shinn has seven Randwick rides with the Peter Moody-trained Weinholt (Sportsyear Handicap) rated his best chance in early betting.
