Clare Lindop returns a winner in Adelaide

Wednesday 16 July 2014, 5:26pm

Top jockey Clare Lindop made a winning return in Adelaide on Wednesday, four months after she broke 15 ribs in a race fall.

Lindop was successful on the third of her four rides with a come-from-behind victory aboard the Ken Sweeney-trained Visual Impact in the Irish Race Day August 30 Hcp (1250m) at Morphettville.

The Group One winning rider was competing for the first time since Adelaide Cup day in March when she fell from Gamblin' Guru, suffering a fractured collarbone and broken ribs.

Lindop is a two-time winner of the Adelaide jockeys' premiership and is keen to make another bid for the title next season.
