Top jockey Jim Byrne will appeal a seven-meeting suspension imposed by stewards at Eagle Farm on Wednesday.
Byrne, who is currently third on the Brisbane jockeys' premiership, was found guilty of causing interference aboard Secret Process approaching the first turn in the Brisbane Marriott Hotel Plate (1200m).
Chairman of stewards Dan Aurisch said Byrne had last been suspended in November last year.
"Your record is good for someone who rides so often. But we find you guilty of the charge," Aurisch said.
Byrne indicated he would appeal the suspension and said the interference was not his fault.
He is due to begin his penalty on July 25.
