The first Australian-trained horse to carry Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's royal blue Godolphin racing colours in a race will be a maiden three-year-old competing on the NSW provincial circuit.
Attainment, a son of successful Darley sire Commands, will usher in a new era for Godolphin when he makes his debut at Kembla Grange on Saturday with Grant Buckley to wear the famous colours.
He is one of three Godolphin runners at Kembla and the silks will also be used on Orujo in the Mitchelton Wines Handicap at Moonee Valley.
