Glyn Schofield to miss Group One meeting

Wednesday 25 February 2015, 6:23pm

Glyn Schofield will miss the Group One Randwick Guineas meeting and the Black Opal Stakes card in Canberra after being suspended for careless riding at Rosehill.

Schofield was outed for five meetings for shifting in aboard third placegetter More Than Fabulous near the 1000m in Wednesday's Mossman @ Vinery Plate.

He will ride at Warwick Farm on Saturday, where his mounts include Boban in the Group One Chipping Norton Stakes, before starting a ban which expires on March 10.

Schofield didn't have a ride in the Guineas but was disappointed to be rubbed out for the Black Opal program on March 8.

He had been sounded out to ride Magic Millions Classic placegetter Single Gaze in the Group Three Black Opal Stakes for two-year-olds.
