An insight from a Hall of Fame jockey will accompany Godolphin rider James Doyle during his first foray into Sydney racing.
Rated one of the world's best jockeys before forced into retirement by injury in 2012, Darren Beadman now works alongside John O'Shea as an assistant trainer for Godolphin.
But it will be Beadman's experience in the saddle that will be invaluable when Englishman Doyle rides for O'Shea during the Chipping Norton Stakes meeting at Warwick Farm on Saturday.
Warwick Farm is a racetrack with its idiosyncrasies and Beadman rode it as well as any jockey of the modern era, winning the Chipping Norton Stakes four times between 1986 and 2003.
Doyle will ride the lesser-fancied of Godolphin's two Chipping Norton runners when he partners Hartnell.
The 26-year-old will also ride two-year-olds Mogador and Italy in the Skyline Stakes and Sweet Embrace Stakes respectively.
"Darren will talk James through the form as well as the specifics of the Warwick Farm track," Godolphin racing manager Jason Walsh said.
"There would be no better man to receive advice from."
Doyle and fellow Godolphin rider William Buick are confirmed to ride in Sydney on Golden Slipper day as well as over the two days of The Championships.
