Sabatini dominates Angus Armanasco Stakes

Saturday 28 February 2015, 3:45pm

Lee and Shannon Hope have options for Sabatini after her win in the Angus Armanasco Stakes at Caulfield on Saturday.

Ridden by Nick Hall, the daughter of Street Cry made it two wins from as many starts this campaign in accounting for Fontein Ruby by a length in the Group Two race.

Shannon Hope said races in three states would be considered for Sabatini.

The Kewney Stakes at Flemington, the Coolmore Classic at Rosehill and the Sangster Stakes in Adelaide are possible targets.

"Everytime we raise the bar she seems to keep stepping up and I feel there is more improvement in her," Hope said.

"Mentally and physically she's a lot stronger and we've probably had a bit of luck with barrier draws."

Hall had the filly well positioned from an inside barrier and he was able to work his mount off the fence at the 400m.

"She's probably suited to 1400 (metres) again next start," Hall said.

"She just wandered a bit at the end so there's some improvement to come."
