Post D'France provided Patrick Moloney with some early career highlights and the apprentice isn't putting it past the gelding to provide another one in the Easter Cup at Caulfield.
Moloney has hit the front in this season's Melbourne apprentices' premiership and also notched his first Group win when successful aboard Chill Party in the Group Two Alister Clark Stakes.
On Saturday he re-unites with Post D'France and he rides Sistine Demon in a race for the first time in the Group Three Victoria Handicap (1400m), a race the gelding won by six lengths last year.
Moloney hasn't ridden Post D'France since January but has had success on the Stephen Brown-trained gelding with five wins from nine rides on him.
All those wins were in 2013.
"I rode my first city winner on him and also got my first Flemington carnival winner on him as well," Moloney said.
"He's starting to get back to where he was when I was winning on him."
Post D'France goes into the Easter Cup off a Flemington win and a Moonee Valley placing in lesser company and is at double-figure odds.
The Cleaner holds favouritism at $3 after his fourth in the Australian Cup while first-up Blamey Stakes runner-up Sertorius is at $3.50.
Moloney believes Post D'France, who has the limit weight, can get a nice run.
The apprentice put Sistine Demon through his paces in trackwork on Tuesday and is hoping the five-year-old can control the race from the front on Saturday.
Sistine Demon sat outside the leader in a Listed race at Flemington second-up last start and battled on for fourth behind Victoria Handicap rivals Amorino, Saint Or Sinner and Gracious Prospect.
"He'll roll forward (from barrier two) and will probably end up leading them up like he did when he won previously," Moloney said.
