Kermadec sneaks into Doncaster field

Saturday 4 April 2015, 7:55am

Three-year-olds Sweynesse and Kermadec have snuck into the Doncaster Mile field with the scratchings of Moriarty and It's Somewhat.

Kermadec has been among the market leaders for some time but punters were left lamenting when he was named the second emergency.

The rain in Sydney means the Randwick track is heavy for Saturday's racing, prompting the two withdrawals.

Glen Boss will ride Kermadec who joins his Chris Waller-trained stablemates Sacred Falls and Royal Descent in the $3 million race.

Sacred Falls and Royal Descent finished one-two last year.

Sam Clipperton will ride Sweynesse with both three-year-olds to carry 50 kilograms.

The meeting also features the Australian Derby, the TJ Smith Stakes, the Sires' Produce and the Country Championship final.
