Stewards have asked the Australian Turf Club to look at alternatives to holding its ANZAC day meeting at Randwick.
After three weeks of autumn carnival racing on soft tracks and the forecast for wet weather, Racing NSW chief steward Ray Murrihy said there were concerns.
Next Saturday's meeting was originally planned for the Kensington track which is still not ready for racing after months of remedial work.
"We need to look at alternatives sooner rather than later," Murrihy said.
"Randwick has had a lot of wear and tear over the last three weeks.
"There is a part of the straight that is of concern and if we get the rain that is forecast we will be in trouble."
