Damian Browne will partner New Zealand Group One winner Platinum Witness in her two-start Brisbane campaign aimed at the Queensland Oaks.
The winner of the Group One NZ Thousand Guineas last spring, Platinum Witness finished second to Savaria in the New Zealand Oaks on March 14 after the pair could not be separated in a Group Three race two weeks earlier.
Savaria finished sixth in the Australian Oaks at Randwick with James McDonald saying she did not handle the soft track.
Trainer Lisa Latta will give Platinum Witness a start at Rotorua on Saturday before she heads to Australia for the Roses on May 23 and the Oaks a week later.
Latta said Platinum Witness had freshened well and was in good order to resume at Arawa Park on Saturday with Darryl Bradley to ride before ex-pat kiwi Browne takes over in Queensland.
She will be nominated for both the Listed Windsor Park Stud Rotorua Stakes (1400m) and the Rating 85 handicap over 1560m.
"It's not really about the Listed race as it wouldn't help her value any and I'll be guided by the weather as to which race she runs in," Latta told NZ Racing Desk.
"I'm really happy with her and she won a jump-out nicely a week ago here at Awapuni."
Latta believes Platinum Witness will be suited by the shortened distance of this year's Queensland Oaks which will be run over 2200 metres at Doomben which cannot accommodate a 2400m start.
