The Peter Moody-trained Flamberge has scored an upset win in Adelaide's premier sprint, the Group One Goodwood, at Morphettville.
The five-year-old gelding is raced by his breeder, newly elected Racing Victoria chairman David Moodie.
Ridden by Vlad Duric, Flamberge ($21) settled just behind the leaders and overhauled Lord Of The Sky ($9) in the final stages to win by three-quarters of a length, with Under The Louvre ($6) third.
Favourite Black Heart Bart ($4.60) finished fourth but the disappointment of the race was local hope Hucklebuck ($4.80) who finished a tiring 12th of the 17 runners.
Flamberge's victory gave his sire Exceed And Excel his 10th Group One winner.
Exceed And Excel stands at Sheikh Mohammed's Darley Stud which sponsored Saturday's event.
