Apprentice Jack Martin has been cleared of facial fractures after he was thrown from a horse before a race at Moe on Monday.

Martin was taken to hospital with concerns over his jaw but was later discharged on Monday night.

Mark Pegus, meanwhile, is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks after breaking his collarbone in a trackwork fall at Kilmore on Monday.

He does not require surgery.
