Doomben 10,000 favourite draws wide

Wednesday 20 May 2015, 9:58am

Doomben 10,000 favourite Our Boy Malachi has drawn wide in barrier 12 for the Group One sprint.

A full field of 16 plus one emergency, Adelaide horse Nite Rocker, has been declared for Saturday's $750,000 race over 1350 metres.

Second favourite, Melbourne mare Srikandi, fared well with barrier five.

New Zealand Group One winner Sacred Star was paid up as a late entry on Wednesday after undergoing a veterinary inspection following an injury scare which kept him out of the BTC Cup.

Our Boy Malachi, who finished third in the Group One BTC Cup last Saturday week, will be ridden by Tommy Berry.
