A kidney infection has forced Michael Walker to forgo midweek rides but he is expected to be back in the saddle at Flemington on Saturday.
Walker, who holds a two-win lead over Dean Yendall in the Victorian jockeys' premiership, was stood down at Mornington on Monday because of a recurring back problem.
He also missed rides last Saturday at Moonee Valley.
Walker has been booked to ride Good Value, Mihany and Forgive and Forget on Saturday.
He has ridden 127 winners in Victoria this season, while he sits fifth in the Melbourne metropolitan premiership with 33 wins.
