Australian-bred Hong Kong star Able Friend has maintained his routine of trotting and cantering under work rider Thomas Yeung at Newmarket in preparation for the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Hong Kong's great hope for the big meeting has thrived since being arriving at Michael Bell's Fitzroy House Stables ahead of his clash with Solow, Night Of Thunder and company in the Group One mile (1600m).
The five-year-old trotted four laps of the trotting ring and then undertook about 2-1/2 laps of the Polytrack at a light canter where he will have his final piece of fast work on Friday (Saturday AEST).
Trainer John Moore will arrive on Friday night in time to oversee Able Friend's exercise.
"The horse is doing well. He continues to eat well and seems to be enjoying it here," Moore's son and assistant, George, said.
"He just did about a mile of trotting and 2800 metres at a light canter this morning and he'll gallop tomorrow morning."
