A soggy Randwick track has passed an inspection ahead of racing on Saturday.
Sydney was hit with heavy rain on Thursday with Randwick receiving 65mm and a almost 90mm for the week.
Racing NSW chief steward Ray Murrihy said the surface was a heavy 10, the wettest rating, but was safe as of early Friday afternoon.
Stewards will inspect the surface again at 6.30am on Saturday after galloping horses on the course.
The rain has eased to showers with further improvement expected.
