Victorian officials will continue negotiations with the TAB-owned Sky Channel to get its thoroughbred racing back into pubs, clubs and homes.
The Victorian industry has completed a deal with Seven West Media to show its racing on a new free-to-air channel, rejecting Sky's proposal.
Victorian thoroughbred racing has been blacked out on the Foxtel channel since last week.
The full coverage on channel 78 will begin on August 29, the first Group One day of the new season.
Until then, Seven will re-transmit racing.com's digital service on the channel.
