Joe Pride is hoping to end his drought from the metropolitan winner's stall when he saddles up See The World in the Civic Stakes at Rosehill.
Pride has not had a winner in town since Missvonn scored at Randwick on May 30.
However, the trainer received a timely confidence boost with a brace of victories at the provincial Hawkesbury program on Thursday courtesy of recent stable acquisition High Above and Slydini.
See The World, one of four Rosehill runners for Pride on Saturday, is a $9 chance for the Civic Stakes in which the Peter and Paul Snowden-trained Dothraki has opened a clear-cut favourite.
Dothraki will be ridden by Blake Shinn who is locked in a three-way battle with See The World's jockey Hugh Bowman and James McDonald to be crowned Sydney's champion hoop this season.
McDonald, currently on a riding stint for Godolphin in England, holds a four win lead over Shinn with Bowman on their heels.
Shinn has rides in seven of the eight races at Rosehill on Saturday while Bowman has six mounts.
