Connections of Green Card have spring carnival aspirations for the two-year-old after he toyed with his opposition at Caulfield.
Green Card backed up a first-up win a Bendigo with a four-length victory in Saturday's Ted Rainford Plate (1100m) in his fourth career start.
"That was pretty painless," co-trainer Craig Widdison said.
"I thought he could win but I was surprised with how well he did it.
"We've got a bit of an opinion of him so he'll probably have a bit of a freshen up now and target something in the spring."
Widdison said Green Card would be nominated for the Group One Caulfield Guineas.
Green Card, a drifter from $2.80 to $3.20 favourite, settled close to the speed and moved up three-wide to join the leaders on the turn.
He took over soon after and strode clear from the 300m to beat leader Magna Rossa ($10) with Jalan Jalan ($5) running on for third, another half neck away.
"I didn't think I was going as well as I was coming to the turn," jockey Linda Meech said.
"But he's a lazy sort of horse and I think he was just conserving his energy. When I gave him a slap he surprised me (how he sprinted clear)."
