Group One placegetter Teronado is scheduled for his first test since recovering from a serious leg injury.
The gelding will run in a barrier trial at the Gold Coast on Tuesday, his first public outing since he finished long last in the Group One George Main Stakes at Randwick on September 20 last year.
He suffered a bad injury to his off hind leg after being galloped on during the run.
Third in the 2014 Rosehill Guineas, Teronado was shaping as a major player in the Melbourne and Sydney spring when he was hurt.
His leg was sliced and there was major damage which required surgery at the Randwick Equine Centre.
Teronado was then given a lengthy spell and has been back in trainer Bruce Hill's Gold Coast stable for about two months.
Owner Steve Foster said Teronado had been taken along slowly but was now ready to trial.
"Bruce is a great horseman and has really taken his time with Teronado. If he comes up we are looking at again going to Melbourne in the spring," Foster said.
"But we are not getting ahead of ourselves."
Fellow trainer Brian Smith also has a Group One campaign mapped out for Kingdoms who will resume at the Sunshine Coast on Saturday.
Kingdoms worked between races at Doomben on Saturday and hit the line strongly.
Smith is again aiming Kingdoms at races such as the Group One ATC Metropolitan and Group Three Kingston Town Stakes in which he was placed last year.
Meanwhile, trainer Desleigh Forster is resigned to In Masquerade having run her last race after she was injured in the Open (2200m) at Doomben on Saturday.
"She injured a fore tendon when making a run on the home turn. She will spend some time at the stables and then probably go to stud," Forster said.
