Bell to ride in feature race in Singapore

Monday 20 July 2015, 4:43pm

Connections of Lim's Showcase have called on Brisbane jockey Tim Bell to ride the two-year-old in Singapore on Sunday.

Bell has been granted a one-day licence by the Singapore Turf Club to ride Lim's Showcase in the Group Three Juvenile Championship (1200m), one of two feature races at Kranji on Sunday.

After a debut fourth last month, Lim's Showcase was successful at his most recent start on July 12 when ridden by Hugh Bowman.

Lim's Showcase is prepared by former Melbourne jockey Stephen Burridge and will line up against Super One.

Unbeaten in three starts, Super One is prepared by Michael Freedman who has plans to bring the son of I Am Invincible to Melbourne for the Group One Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington in the spring.

Super One scored a barrier trial win at Kranji last week under Corey Brown who has taken over the ride from Craig Newitt who returned to Melbourne last month.
