Singapore-bound jockey Tim Bell escaped injury when he fell at Doomben on Saturday.
Bell was aboard Dysfunction ($16) which dislodged him as the field raced to the 200m.
He was able to get straight back to his feet and walk back to the saddling enclosure.
"I clipped the heels of a horse in front and my mount blundered. I was going very well at the time," he said.
Bell is due to take up a riding contract in Singapore next month.
The race was won by country galloper Casino Express ($31) who gave NSW bush jockey Matt Paget his first Brisbane winner in seven years.
"I did my apprenticeship here and then had a stint also up here with Patinack Farm in 2008 when I rode my last Brisbane winner," he said.
Trainer Rod Hilton had intended to start Casino Express at the Sunshine Coast on Saturday but felt the Brisbane race wasn't much stronger.
