A capacity field of 16 and one emergency has been declared for the Group One Makybe Diva Stakes at Flemington.
Ten Group One winners are set to line up, headed by 2013 Caulfield Cup winner Fawkner.
The Lloyd Williams-owned galloper will be having his first start since finishing tenth in last year's Melbourne Cup won by Protectionist.
Fawkner was scratched from the first Group One race of the season, the Memsie Stakes at Caulfield, because of a wide barrier and has again drawn poorly in gate 14.
Chris Waller's Boban won the Memsie and will be chasing a sixth Group One success on Saturday from barrier four.
Rising Romance has drawn the inside gate with Hi World drawn the widest in barrier 17.
The Tony McEvoy-trained Alpine Eagle has scraped into the final field and has drawn barrier 12.
The Makybe Diva Stakes is one of seven black-type races on a quality Flemington program.
