Damien Oliver is favoured to land his seventh Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes when he partners Disposition in the Group One race at Caulfield.
The Lee and Anthony Freedman-trained Disposition is the $3.50 favourite for Saturday's 1400m handicap after winning in Listed company first-up at Flemington.
Oliver has won more than 100 Group One races during his career with Submariner's victory 25 years ago in the race now known as the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes his first success at the highest level.
Mannerism (1992), Poetic King (1994), Testa Rossa (1999), Mr Murphy (2001) and Orange County (2008) are Oliver's other wins.
Disposition has barrier three in a capacity field of 18 plus emergencies.
Under The Louvre, twice a Group One placegetter last campaign, is on the second line of betting at $5 ahead of Stratum Star who will have Craig Williams aboard.
Williams has won the Sir Rupert Clarke four times while Stratum Star's trainer Darren Weir won the race last year with Trust In A Gust.
The Rupert Clarke is one of two Group One races on Saturday's Caulfield card with the other the Underwood Stakes.
Fawkner, to be ridden by Oliver, is shading Contributer for favouritism in the 1800m weight-for-age contest.
