Seventeen two-year-olds have been entered for the only Victorian race run in the clockwise direction.

Saturday's Clockwise Classic (1000m) is designed to give horses from the southern states the experience racing right-handed ahead of next month's $2 million Magic Millions at the Gold Coast.

First run in 2012, the Clockwise Classic is restricted to two-year-olds bought at Magic Millions sales around Australia.

Hawkes Racing will be represented by Bring Me The Bling, a $140,000 Sebring filly bought on the Gold Coast earlier this year.

Bring Me The Bling has had her preparations switched between Sydney and Melbourne with the majority of her work undertaken at Flemington.

Hawkes said the filly was taken to Ballarat last Thursday for a jump-out, a requirement for two-year-olds trained in Victoria, South Australia or Tasmania before they run in the Ballarat race.

"She handled it without too many problems," Hawkes said.

"We don't have many that don't handle the Melbourne or Sydney way of going.

"Her last two preps she's been down here after she did a bit of her early work in Sydney but she's been down here for most of it."

Hawkes said how the filly performed on Saturday would determine whether the stable pressed ahead to the Magic Millions Two-Year-Old Classic on January 9.

"She's got to run and run well to be a chance to go up there," Hawkes said.

"If she doesn't run that well she'll be off to the paddock."

Brisbane trainer Liam Birchley has three two-year-olds, Deep Harbour, Heart Skipt A Beat and Stole The Show, entered for Saturday's race chasing a share of the $200,000 prize money.

Deep Harbour and Heart Skipt A Beat are also nominated for an 1110m-race at Doomben worth $65,000.
