Veteran mare Little Brown Horse's top winter carnival form has earned her another season of racing.
Little Brown Horse will be having her 15th start in black-type races when she resumes from a spell in the Arcade Classic (1200m) at Doomben on Saturday.
The now seven-year-old mare is yet to win a stakes race but she has been placed three times.
It has been a source of frustration for her trainer Kelly Doughty, despite Little Brown Horse winning 12 of her 54 starts for $342,000 prize money.
At her two most recent starts she finished second to Jetset Lad in the Tattersall's Mile and third to Daph `N' Alf in the Sunshine Coast Anniversary Cup.
"It has been the story throughout. I really would love her to win a stakes race before she goes to stud. If any horse deserves it she does," Doughty said.
Geoff Goold will be hoping to resurrect his career aboard Little Brown Horse on Saturday.
Goold had a successful apprenticeship but has struggled for top city rides since coming out of his time.
"Geoff handles Little Brown Horse very well and I have full confidence in him," Doughty said.
