Peter Moody kept the faith despite Vostok getting under the guard of punters for a second time at Sandown.

Vostok scored a debut win at Kilmore last month before winning the Noble Park Plate on Saturday.

The three-year-old was sent out a $17 chance on debut and was double figures again before scoring by two lengths from Net Wealth ($9) with Ragazzo Del Corsa ($4.60) a half-length away third.

Moody revealed he had not bothered to watch Vostok ($14) in his debut win at Kilmore.

"When he went up the bush the other day I thought he'd be three-to-one after winning a trial at Caulfield," Moody said.

"I nearly fainted when he paid $17 but I didn't miss the fifteens today.

"It's something for Pete to pay the legal fees."

Moody is facing a cobalt hearing before the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board that is due to commence on December 14.

Vostok needed some time before making it to the racetrack, with Moody describing the son of Starcraft as a professional type.

"He bounces into the box seat, travels nice and presents himself at the right time," Moody said.

"We'll go home, let the dust settle and find something around Christmas time.

"Let's hope we all have a good Christmas."
