Gold Coast two-year-old Game Of Dreams gave shuttle stallion Dream Ahead his first Australian winner and put himself on the Magic Millions trail at Ipswich on Wednesday.

Trainer Bryan Guy had high hopes for Game Of Dreams after he won a Gold Coast barrier trial last month but the gelding was caught deep at his only race start when 11th at Doomben on November 21.

Sent out favourite, Game of Dreams ($2.10) appreciated the drop in class when he led all the way to win the KR Plumbing Handicap (1100m).

Guy, who was at Arrowfield Stud on Wednesday inspecting yearlings, said Game Of Dreams would press on for the Magic Millions 2YO Classic on January 9.

"We will try him in tougher company and see if he can win some more prize money," Guy said.

"To make the Classic field he would need to win a lot more prize money but I have an opinion of him."

He would dearly love to win a big race for the Hill family who race Game Of Dreams, a $35,000 Magic Millions purchase.

Guy trained the filly Stroak for the Hills and she was an unlucky fifth to Unencumbered in the 2014 Magic Millions.

"I would love for them to get some revenge in the Millions," he said.

A five-times European Group One winner, Dream Ahead, who stands at Emirates Stud in Australia, has had limited runners from his first southern hemisphere crop.

Highly rated mare Pienkna ($2) returned to her best to win the Back Yard Rugby League Program Handicap(1100m).

Pienkna, who was once thought of as a Golden Slipper horse, had not won a race since August last year.

"She lost her way after we took her to Melbourne for the spring last year. But she has had a good spell and it may have been a small field today but it was a good one," trainer Tony Gollan said.
