Peace Force out of Brisbane feature

Friday 11 December 2015, 10:01am

Favourite Peace Force has been ruled out of the Lough Neagh Stakes at Doomben with a joint injury.

The Gerald Ryan-trained mare hurt herself on the float trip from Sydney to Brisbane where she was to contest Saturday's Listed sprint.

"She whacked her leg in the float on the way up there and we've had to treat her so she won't be running," Ryan said.

"She has some bruising to a front joint.

"I don't know what she will do now. We will have to wait and see how the leg is.

"It is disappointing because she was going so well."

The winner of the Group Three Glenlogan Park Stakes in May, Peace Force has had three starts since for a second in The Nivison, beaten a nose, and a close third in the Festival Stakes.

She was at $4 for the Lough Neagh with the Peter Moody-trained Weinholt now the likely favourite.
