Goulburn trainer Danny Williams has been trying to win a Highway Handicap for weeks but has had to settle for a half share.
Punters were unable to split the Williams-trained Shutter Bug and Pera Pera and sent them out the $4.60 favourites in Saturday's 1400m race at Randwick for country-trained horses.
They proved to be spot-on with the pair crossing the line together with no margin between them.
King's Officer ($20) was an eye-catching third, 1-1/4 lengths behind the winning duo.
"I've been trying for a while and it's nice to finally win one of these even though it's a dead-heat," Williams said.
"She was in front just before the post and just after but we'll take it.
"She is a very consistent mare and deserves it and she may even be looking for further than 1400 metres."
The win was Shutterbug's third from her five starts this campaign.
Pera Pera is trained at Mudgee by Mack Griffith for Gooree Stud.
Formerly at Randwick with Anthony Cummings, the five-year-old has won all three starts for Griffith after returning from a long injury break.
