Able Friend cleared to run in Mile

Race favourite Able Friend has been cleared to run in the International Mile at Sha Tin.

The John Moore-trained gelding was found to have slight lameness in a front foot on Sunday morning but has passed a veterinary examination hours before the race.

Earlier in the day, Mackinnon Stakes winner Gailo Chop was ruled out of the Hong Kong Cup with a hind leg issue.
